"For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me." Matthew 25:35-36 NKJV
His Hands Ministry exists to meet the needs of the body of Christ in practical ways at Calvary Chapel Cumberland. By serving each other and bearing one anothers burdens, we become a tangible extension of God's love. We are extensions of His tenderness, His love, and His care to those in the fellowship during times of need.
His Hands Ministry allows those in the fellowship at Calvary Chapel Cumberland to exercise the gift of mercy. His Hands primarily serves others within the fellowship at Calvary Chapel Cumberland during times of need caused by illness, death in the family, childbirth, surgery, or injury. During these times daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and running simple errands become burdensome or even impossible. It is during this time that His Hands Ministry volunteers can be coordinated to provide assistance.
If you have a need, please contact Pastor Rob or Tami Litton, His Hands Ministry Coordinator or call the church office at 240-362-9971.
"Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another: not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving in the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality." Romans 12:10-13
