Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Matthew 19:14
At Calvary Chapel Cumberland, it is our desire to come alongside parents in the task of raising the next generation of passionate followers of Christ. We accomplish this in several ways. Since the parent is the first and most important teacher of their children, we want to provide parents with tools to help them successfully lead their children in the ways of God on a daily basis.
If you have children ages 6 months to 5th grade, they are encouraged to attend King's Kids for the 10:00 AM service.
For children age 6 months to 4 years old, take the stairs to your right as you enter the church. A church greeter will help you, and a children's ministry volunteer will meet you upstairs for check-in beginning at 9:50 am and will give you a numbered card (this number will be placed on the bottom of the projector screen in the event that you are needed upstairs). The children will be in the Little Ones room (second door on your left) where they will play, color, and hear a Bible story. They will be offered a small snack and water.
For children in Kindergarten to 5th grade, you will find the children's ministry volunteers waiting to greet you in the foyer to sign your child into class. The child will stay with you during corporate worship and be dismissed by the pastor at the beginning of the teaching. They will travel upstairs and participate in a study of a bible story, make a craft, and be offered a small snack and water. We are currently utilizing The Biggest Story curriculum.
